Auckland Screen Taskforce

The Auckland Screen Taskforce is an initiative of Screen Auckland and Film Auckland, the organisation representing filmmakers across the Tāmaki Makaurau region.

Launched in 2023, the Auckland Screen Taskforce is made up of 21 members of the public and private sector, tasked with providing a cohesive strategic direction, representation and advice to assist the local sector to thrive.

Working together to enable Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s screen sector to reach its fullest potential.

Areas of focus for 2024
  • Film-friendly Auckland: Helping make filming in Tāmaki Makaurau easier for production companies, filmmakers and crews.
  • Production attraction: Attracting great productions to work in our region by showcasing what Tāmaki Makaurau can deliver.
  • VFX and post-production: Demonstrating the combined scope and capacity of Auckland’s VFX and post-production offering to the world.
